Synopsis:
P.O. left London so missed invitation. Possible union of parties or dissolution of Parliament within the next week. Extremely inclement weather. Poor suffering, liberal donations. Person appointed by Goldsmith caused delay till F.O threatened he would not enter into other Award Bonds: concerning dispute about poor money. P.O. appointed Messr. Pinson, Goldsmith & W.Holdsworth who appoint?? not from Dartmouth. Messrs Sanders & Hay bankers of Exeter who would appoint a third man to decide the business. With better weather people would be fitting out ships. Poor state of Commerce.
