Synopsis:
Sorry not to hear from Mr. G. Steward sent JS a draft of resolution of Townstall parish.respecting an intended Poor House : a good plan. JS told Mr. Pinson that the Governor should get the required price for a full lease from the Corporation. The Trustees named should choose a committee of a Treasurer & 2 others to oversee the work & later the furnishing & any necessary deviation to be estimated by 2 people & possibly a third to avoid abuse by the contractor. JS inspected the large Mary-le-bone work house. A good director was most important; The success or failure depended on this. JS suggested that Mr. G. should be an inspector & treasurer.
