Synopsis:
£100 bill received in letters of 6th and 8th sent on to Mr. Frenshawe. J.K. would follow orders about Tithes etc. Contract for Coombe House. Mr. Gretton had covenant upon stamps. J.S. presumably wished Mr. Holdsworth to have one. Mr. Gretton left rooms he papered; Mr. Holdsworth should keep them in repair. Mr. Gillard knew what Perring was to have the Brixham Estate for, & might give £300 for it. J.K. asked for £320. Mr. Gillard found house too large. Corn looking good, many apples, some trees damaged by lightening. J.K. would enquire about sloop. One salmon brought from Cornworthy, possible catch with spring tides. Long gun put right by Brixham man.
