Synopsis:
J.S. sorry Franklyn had been a sick house. Mr. J.(master J.Fanshawe?) would have liked to have had his cousin & other school fellows with him for the holidays. Not yet seen Youlden. Continuous cold E.wind bad for shipping; great privations; London coaster under Muggridge lost in the Downs, probably with all hands; wreckage at Deal. J.S. planned to take the children to school following Monday, possible delay. Hoped to spend a day at Franklyn.
