Synopsis:
Reply to J.S's letter of 3 Jan. delayed as (young) John (Fanshawe) had a cold & inflamed eyes. A.M.S. rather unwell, would enquire about vacancy (at hospital). Unable to take the Gallenas till the night before they were to be taken away. (age not yet available) Stormy weather. Mr. Fanshawe mainly in Exeter, Sessions following week. Glad Seale family were well. Maria & Harriet went to Chandos Street with Kitty to celebrate her birthday. Mr. Fanshawe had just returned. He had a vacancy for J.S's invalide.
