Letter just received. Hopeful all going in J.S's favour. Jahn(Fanshawe's) eyes getting better. A.M.S. unwell; long tempestuous wet weather, scarcely able to go to church. Bill for £49 received, would pay J.S's insurance. Girl for hospital not heard of. Mr. Fanshawe gone to Sessions. Gallenas roosting hard to catch; cages made. Mr. F. promised Lady Buller a pair. Lady Rogers passed through en route to meet Sir F.Rogers.
