Synopsis:
Thanks for box of hams. EMK's health very good. Much indebted to Miss Mervin for prescribing for her when unwell & also for her jelly of tent & Isinglass. Sorry that SS was uneasy about EMK being in the family way. She wondered what Mrs. Taylor said to Uncle about her to make him so cool towards her. She saw Mrs. T. as little as possible. The Fownes drank tea with EMK. Old Mrs. F. very down in her spirits. SS's tongues & pickles much appreciated by EMK.
