Heat oppressive. The Misses Lister seen every day. Mrs. L. a very pleasant chatty woman. Letter from Harriet with a good account of little Tom. Mr. L & his aunts very impatient to see him. EMK hoped that Elliott would send her 2 shifts, black silk & silk pelisse & gown. Hoped to see SS in the second week of September. Cooks unavailable,too much in demand. Lodging next door suitable for Miss Bond at a guinea a week.
