Synopsis:
Arrived that Friday evening: Babe slept most of the way on the Dartmouth chaise & horses, horse to be shod in Newton, so Mrs. K. had to wait till 6pm for dinner. Many visitors; Robert arrived 11pm Saturday & called with Father in the morning. They then went to Dawlish via Franklyn & Peamore. Unable to get a small enough ivory pin for SS. Forgot to give to Father SS's stockings & netting noules, told Charles to call for them, but he did not. G K could bring them before going to Town or they could go by carrier. A. monster had appeared in Exeter similar the the one in London some years before who attacked women with a knife. Mrs. K's cook saw a crowd round a woman cut in the face. He had not been caught.
