Synopsis:
Very thankful for C.F's letter. J.S. spoke to C.F's friend A on the subject. A was greatly indebted to C.F. He had nothing unpleasant to communicate. Unfriendly to load C.F. with his private concerns, satisfield with the propriety of C.F's reasons. A had then abandoned his intentions and burnt the letter. Suggestion alluded to was founded on false grounds. A's duty to check growth of a power inimicable to his House. Mr. Gretton and the governess accepted C.F's invitation and would call en route to Exeter.
