Synopsis:
Previous letter sent on Monday under cover to Sir F.Rogers at Bates and one to Mr. Bruce. The Corporation were pressing on with the action for Town dues. J.S. feared the Prince payed their costs so it was an unequal contest for him. Need for Mr. Shore Douglass etc. to apprise the Prince's people of what was contended. Mr. Drewe was to enquire about Mr. G.Gillard, a freeman, said to have had the grant of a Renewal of a corporation Lease if he did not vote for J.S. and to find if an act of Bribery would be liable for a conviction.
