Glad that Aunt & Miss H. were with mother & sisters. JHS was with Mr. Manners Keeper of the Advocates Library Enlightened Scots very agreeable, the others extremely disagreeable, the students were blackguards. Dinner & evening parties, a very pleasant dinner at Baron Nort....'s? Miss Bruce very civil, affluent niece. Edinburgh romantic, Old Town dirty, New Town fine. Count d'Artois held his Court at Holyrood House.
