Synopsis:
Health much better. Just seen Harriet, Charles not fit to be seen, his clothes dirty & stained, & Robert, good on his own, noisy with Charles. The Landlady was asking when JS was wanting a room & if he was bringing a man. If so she would have to get an extra maid. She would give notice to her present lodger to quit. EMK needed 2 servant's sheets, Harriet might lend. Cold weather. Unable to come to Devonshire till July. Thanks for thinking of the little frocks etc.Glad if Father could bring the red prayer book & old Bible & gooseberries & currents.
