Tom better, not measles as thought; Mr. Hall said it was only a rash with his cold. Mr & Mrs. S. Faulks called 1 Nov. Mrs. F. looked extremely ill. They gave a sad account of Mrs. John F. Lord Ribblesdale dined with the family l. Nov. They were not going to Stoke Cliff till early in the spring. Thanks for good news of Maria and Babe. Was Charles a midshipman and home because of peace? At Franklyn Grandmother appeared quite lost but well. Harriet was afraid she would not be able to visit Mr. Boone till the summer after next.
