An account by a Dartmothian of the time when his father worked for Philip & Son Shipbuilder at Noss and Sandquay and his own apprenticeship as a draughtsman with them which commenced in 1937. There are accounts of the activities that took place during his time there and a outline of Drawing Office procedure from enquiry to delivery of a vessel.
